Internal competition results 2025 - 2026

Men's Singles. Tuesdays 10th and 17th March 2026

Our final Club competitions of this season, for the Mens Singles cup, were played on Tuesday 10thth and Tuesday 17th March.

So many men wanted to compete this year that the competition had to be split over two sessions, with six men playing in Pool 1 on the 10th and the other six playing in Pool 2 on the 17th.
Each Pool was played as a ‘round robin’ so each participant played 5 games against all the other players in their Pool.
The scoring was the same as always for each game; 2 points for a win, zero for a loss and 1 point each player for a draw.
After a couple of long and tiring, but I hope enjoyable afternoons of playing, the results were as follows:

Pool 1 Winner : Tony Sellick                   Pool 2 Winner : Chris Selling
Pool 1 Runner Up : Cyril Wilson             Pool 2 Runner Up : Roger Gill

After all the Pool 2 games had been played on the 17th the Winners of both Pools played each other in a Final game to decide the overall winner.
