On Thursday 2nd November we played a ‘home’ match v Stanwick and for the second week running, both Saxons teams managed to win their games.
Team ‘A’ s game was nip and tuck for the first 10 ends, with the score tied at that point, 10 -10. But Stanwick failed to score after that, with Saxons winning the last 6 ends, a couple of them by 5 shots, so the winning score for Saxons was a massive 26 to 10.
Team ‘B’ scored steadily from the start of their match, but Stanwick kept in touch until the 11th end, when the score was 8 – 6. After that, however, Saxons kept increasing their lead, finally coming out on top by 16 shots to 7.
The combined score for both games means that Saxons won overall,
by 42 to 17.

Our location
Saxon Bowlers meet at the Saxon Hall in Raunds. The entrance to the hall is off Thorpe Street just past the council offices and there is plenty of free parking available including disabled spaces.
